The GB machine inventory has been expanded:
the new IMG GUM-H 450 press is here

During the Convention in December, we told our employees about significant infrastructure investments for 2023. This is a commitment that we are maintaining with the arrival at the Group companies of a range of new top-quality machines; two IMG presses for GB and GBL, a Mazak turning centre for GBS and new rapid-cooling towers for GB.

Over more than 40 years of work, we have seen the sector evolve before our eyes. Change and growth has always been important, in order to remain in line with new technology and production techniques, as well as to be able to efficiently and effectively respond to ever more demanding and specialised client demands. Now, in addition to this, it is also necessary to pay increased attention to the environment and to energy consumption.

In light of this constant improvement and optimisation of consumption, we have invested in a new press made by IMG (Industrie Meccaniche Generali), a Brescia-based Italian leader in the production of presses for the injection moulding of rubber.

IMG GUM H-450: reduced consumption and perfect performance

Our technicians chose IMG because, with its headquarters in the province of Brescia, it is located in the same beneficial “Rubber District” as us, and it is specialised in presses for elastomers.

The GUM series of presses by IMG is composed exclusively of excellent quality, extremely high-performance machines entirely made in Italy.

With hydroblock clamping with four struts and a high-pressure cylinder, and a latest-generation hydraulic system, the GUM H-450 press is a precious new resource for our clients.

Furthermore, the hydraulic system – with a servomotor on the inverter-driven pump – guarantees significant energy savings during operation.

Investments for optimised and sustainable production

At GB, we have been designing and manufacturing moulds for gaskets and technical items in rubber and thermoplastic materials since 1976. Over the last 40 years, the market has changed, as have the technical and technological needs of our clients.

At GB, we believe in the value of a fluid machine inventory that evolves in line with changes in the sector and the requirements of all the stakeholders involved. This is why, with our investments, we pay the utmost attention to both the requests of our clients and the demands of the environment in which we live.
To contribute to a greener future for everyone.
